Creative Display of Bumper Stickers
When I was younger, I used to purchase t-shirts from every new and interesting destination I visited. Once it became a struggle to close my dresser drawers, I decided that it was time to find a new collectible. I turned to a cheaper, space-friendly alternative: bumper stickers.
Rather than simply collecting bumper stickers in a binder, I chose to put mine on display. I bought a plain black vinyl tire cover and arranged my bumper stickers on the cover in an artistic manner. I think it jazzes up the rear of my car without clogging the rear windshield as you often see with other bumper sticker collectors.
Playoffs Or Pick Up Game
The Baltimore Raven
s made the first half look like a one sided game, but only in stats. The Kansas City Chiefs struck on their only score of the half, on their 5th play of the game. So the score was only 10 to 7 at the half, in Baltimore’s favor. Then came the second half. One team came out of the locker room, the other did not. Call in the Air Force and look for the missing Chiefs. It was all Baltimore, scoring 20 unanswered points and getting more take-away than any one team should be allowed. I have never seen so many empty seats in a playoff game by the time the end came. Kansas City will have to wait another year to finally win a playoff game. Small word of advice to the Chiefs fans, take a lesson from the other NFL fans, stay till the end.
The Effects of Weather on Rubber and Plastic
Your tires may come advertised as all-weather and all-conditions tires. They may even come with a long warranty against defect or early wear. One thing they can’t come with, however, is a warranty against the lasting and prolonged effects of harsh weather. As temperatures around the country continue to set records both in warm and cold climates, we’re beginning to see more and more adverse effects from Mother Nature.
One of the most prominent is the effect on our vehicles. If you have a spare tire that’s mounted outside of your vehicle then you know what I’m talking about. A spare tire which remains exposed to the elements can quickly be rendered completely useless. That’s why it’s important to have a strong, high-quality spare tire cover to protect it. With a cover you can rest assured knowing your spare will be there when you need it, rather than damaged by the sun and heat or even freezing temperatures.
Our US American Flag
There was over 1,500 designs of the American Flag submitted to President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Most of the styles consisted of the 50-star version. There was at least three other designs identical to the present design of the 50-star flag. The credit for this design was given to the United States Army Institute of Heraldry.
One of these creations was done by 17 year old Robert G. Heft in 1958 for a school project which received the most publicity. He received a B- for the project. He was not satisfied with this grade so he discussed his grade with his teacher. She told him she would reconsider his grade if the flag was accepted by Congress. Well low and behold Heft’s flag was chosen and adopted by the presidential proclamation after Alaska and before Hawaii was admitted into the union in 1959.
Our American Flag is displayed as a motif on decals for car windows and tire covers. It also appears on clothing of all kinds and ornaments such as badges and lapel pins. Be proud of our American Flag and let it fly in the wind.
